Dhewa dancer promoted

since the death of Dhewa and “Amathele” is still with the group doubling as a rapper and vocalist.
Announcing the promotion at the unveiling of Dhewa’s tombstone in Sesombe Village in Zhombe, over the weekend, Peter Moyo was at a loss for words to describe the band member who started music with his father and continued after his death.
“This man you see is a hard worker. He is like the glue that binds the group together. One thing I admire about him is that he works hard and as a group we have decided to elevate him to the post of assistant manager.
“He has a beautiful wife and a child, Deprick,” Peter said.
Soon after Shiga Shiga, the former chanter, deserted the group to join the Mutodi Express, “Amathele” quickly moved in to fill the gap and has done well.
Many fans are now used to his chants on stage which he delivers just the way Shiga Shiga used to.
“It is a pleasure and honour for me to be picked as the assistant manager. I owe it to the fans of the group and the other members who inspire me a lot,” he said.
