The match was organised by Chipaz Promotions as part of fund-raising activities lined up for today.
In a telephone interview yesterday, Dhewa, as he is affectionately known by his legion of fans, said he was still uncertain about being in the starting line-up.

His wife, Miniehle Mukweli, however, dismissed the reports, saying the Utakataka Express frontman was in good spirits, though not fully fit. An official with Gramma Records, where the artiste has recorded hit albums including the latest offering, Toita Basa, said the singer had been hospitalised at the time.
Mr Emmanuel Vori said: “He went for a routine check-up but then the doctor said there was something in his chest that needed to be examined. That is when he was admitted.”
Yesterday, Dhewa sounded ready for battle with the football legends. He said he also expected to be fit for shows scheduled for February 12.
“I am sure by then I will be fit to perform,” he said.
“Remember, I am a professional musician and there is no way I will sign for a show that I will not be able to fulfil.” Moyo was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer in 2008 and has been undergoing chemotherapy since then. Meanwhile, Media, Information and Publicity Minister Cde Webster Shamu will be the guest of honour at the annual event.
“Cde Shamu has confirmed his attendance and is particularly looking forward to the clash between the journalists and the match between the musicians and football greats. ‘Diamond Boy’ Munyaradzi Chidzonga will be a guest player for the musicians,” said the organisers’ spokesman, Charles Mabika.-The Sunday Mail
