FORMER Warriors defender, David “Diaspora” Kutyauripo, says he has been offered a chance to rejoin Dynamos as fitness coach.
However, some reports claim Kutyauripo is set to leave for the United Kingdom this week.
There is a possibility he could return to take care of his growing business interests, which include the Diaspora Health Club.
The 43-year-old was Harare City’s fitness coach in the just-ended Castle Lager Premiership, but his contract expires on December 31.
The Sunshine Boys were relegated after enduring a nightmare 2021-22 campaign.
Despite the club’s financial challenges, Kutyauripo was praised by analysts for his ability to convince Harare City players to report for duty and to remain fit.
Kutyauripo did not reveal much about what he has been offered, but said it was a flattering offer.
“I can confirm that I have received a good offer from Dynamos’ executive, but I haven’t signed anything yet,” said Kutyauripo.
“I still have a running contract with Harare City and Dynamos have been my home and I won’t turn down this golden chance should things go according to the plan.
“Dynamos is a big club and everyone will be excited to be associated with such a big brand,” Kutyauripo said. If the deal materialises, it will be Kutyauripo’s third stint with the team.
He was at Dynamos in 2006 before making a switch to crosstown rivals, CAPS United.
But, it was in his second stint that he made waves as he helped the team claim back-to-back titles in 2011 and 2012.
He joined Harare City the following year.
