Digital solutions expert Onias Ndebele honoured posthumously

Onias Ndebele who was the founder of Integrated Digital Security Solutions (IDSS), a digital solutions company, was posthumously honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Computer Society of Zimbabwe (CSZ) recently.

Ndebele who died aged 52 on September 11 this year made a significant impact on the country’s cyber security marketing landscape.

The society honoured Ndebele at the 2024 edition of the CSZ ICT awards ceremony which was recently held in Victoria Falls.

The awards recognise and celebrate extraordinary individuals and organisations driving innovation, leadership and social responsibility in Zimbabwe’s ICT sector.

Ndebele was the driving force behind IDSS’ success in the cyber security landscape where he carved out a niche in the competitive industry, supplying internet security solutions and anti-virus software to Government agencies and various companies.

Ndebele was born on November 25, 1972, in Plumtree. He did his primary and secondary education in Plumtree and Bulawayo. He graduated with an MBA degree in 2018.
He is survived by his wife Nobuhle and four children.

Ndebele was laid to rest in Harare on September 14.
