Big Brother Africa -The Chase winner Dillish Matthews is expected in Harare today for the Vault cosmetic launch scheduled for Truworths at Sam Levy’s Village in Borrowdale.
The vivacious model will make a guest appearance at the launch show tomorrow before she leaves early Sunday for South Africa where she is expected to grace the finale of the Big Brother Africa-Hotshots.
According to event organisers, Dillish will join them for the motivational woman’s night at the Vault Studios in Arundel ahead of the launch.
“This is an opportunity to hear how other women’s businesses are thriving in this economy. The workshop is for women and there will be testimonials of hope, strength and adversity,” organisers said.
However, the launch dubbed “Women’s Affair” will be graced by women from different backgrounds.
The launch will include new lipstick and lip-gloss range called Catwalk, oil control foundation and makeup brushes among other products before women witness live demonstration.
She said makeup builds confidence and amplifies beauty.
Vault founder and entrepreneur Jackie Mgido said she was excited that everything was in place.
“I can confirm that Dillish will be our guest. We are good friends and we have done her lipstick range which will also be in the store. So far everything is in place and we are ready for some action and fun,” she said.
Mgido who is a make-up artist based in Los Angeles, US said the launch will also coincide with a women empowerment program set on the day at same venue.
“We will also use the opportunity to empower the women, talking sense that women should rise up to achieve their goals. Apart from makeup demonstrations, guest will have a chance to be taught how to apply makeup themselves rather than relying on Vault. They should start their own businesses through learning from others. Dillish will have a chance to talk about her prize money about which most women wanted to know,” she said.
She said her dream was to see women being entrepreneurs.
“Through makeup I have managed to sustain livelihoods. We are trying to teach women to be role models and Vault Cosmetics Academy has managed to groom some women who are making it big through a short space of time. I would love to see women in Africa not talking about their ambition but living their dream,” she said.
Mgido said lucky women will also walk away with prizes too. She said the day will end up with a cocktail party.
