Dino Mudondo launches his latest

POPULAR rasta-kwasa musician, Dino Mudondo and Ras Kwasa Band will today launch their latest album, Ndakakupihwa NaMwari at Cape to Cairo in Bulawayo. Dino rose to fame with hit songs such as Jatirofa, Makorokoto, Makoikoi and Chirangano. His latest album has eight tracks which include Ngaasare, Mainini, Ndafunga Fungai and Anondibata Zvakanaka.

In an interview, Mudondo said he had dedicated the album to his childhood sweetheart with whom he will tie the knot in December.
“It’s my tradition to do a wedding song on each of my albums and Ndakupihwa NaMwari is the wedding song on the latest album. The others wedding songs are Makorokoto, Makoikoi, Chirangano, Amhlope, Zuva Guru, Mhemberero and Mwenga,” he said.

Dino said he was happy coming to Bulawayo because he loves the city and will give his best at the show.

“Many things have been said about my music career but all I can say is I am back. I had slowed down on live gigs due to pressure from my studies,” he said.

Mudondo said he was studying towards a Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
Cape to Cairo manageress, Catherine Phiri said revellers were looking forward to Dino’s show.

“We are happy that he has chosen to launch his album in Bulawayo and in particular at our club,” she  said.
Last year Dino released the album titled Quantum.
