MANICALAND Creative Awards organisers have failed to honour artists who had been nominated for the awards.
The awards ceremony was supposed to be held in April this year but, up to now, nothing has been done.
Some of the artists, who have been nominated, believe this is not fair, as they had hope they would win.
One of the nominees said the organisers went quiet.
“I tried reaching out to them but they ignored me.
“Some of the nominees also asked but there was no reply, and up to now, we do not know what will happen,” he said.
Manicaland Creative Awards founder, Tatenda Nyatsanga, popularly known as Montana, said they will be held in October.
“I am hoping that we will be able to host them in October.
“We were let down by our sponsors because they could not avail the funds before the awards ceremony.
“I am hoping that by October, everything will go according to plan.
“I have tried communicating with some of the artists, who were nominated, so I do not understand when they say I do not respond to them.”
He said the sponsors held a meeting and he will be advised of the outcome soon.
