DISCORD continues to reign supreme at Chiredzi FC, with coach Gishon Ntini indefinitely suspending two players for boycotting training.
The team which is preparing to travel to Mutare to play army side Buffaloes in the Chibuku Super Cup saw its key strikers David Temwanjira and Gift Kwaramba staying put in Harare after last week’s humiliating 0-3 defeat to Caps United.
The duo who have been regulars for Chiredzi since the beginning of Ntini’s tenure did not communicate with their head coach as to why they are not in Chiredzi for training.
“Temwanjira and Kwaramba are yet to come back from Harare after the Caps United match. Their reasons of failing to come for training are not known to anyone since they decided not to communicate with me,” said Ntini.
Ntini said he has since opted to suspend the two for their behaviour but did not disclose the length of the suspension.
“I have suspended the two from the team because I don’t know what they are thinking when they don’t show up for work ahead of serious matches.
“Their actions cannot go unchallenged because they will sent a bad signal to others and this will affect the team’s preparations,” said Ntini.
Ntini has already identified replacements for the two.
Former Triangle FC striker Tawanda Mwende whose clearance arrived on Thursday and Tatenda Chamwadoro have been identified.
