Divas Without Limits: a book challenging women to rise and shine

Bhekumuzi Ncube, Sunday Life Reporter
A life coach and radio broadcaster, Khumbu Malinga has authored a book titled Divas Without Limits, which is an ultimate transformational and self help life manual for young women in Africa.

Published by Dare Do! Publications in Bulawayo, the book provides an important guideline to empower women into being successful people in society and being people with vision that will transform nations and touch many lives.

It consists of 21 subtopics. Malinga said the broader objective of the book is to speak to every young woman and show her that “ordinary” women can be leaders and towering giants whose existence will leave immortal footprints on their road to stardom.

“The book will illuminate that flaming dream within women’s spirits and provide practical steps to turning their potential into reality. In this patriarchal African society where there is artificial gender equality and equity, young women in an endeavour to find their identity in life, find themselves being victims of trappings of power offered to them as bait by the male chauvinistic vultures whose only agenda is to quench their insatiable appetites,”.

“I know no other woman whose feminine prowess managed to conquer the greatest of all men in history than Queen Cleopatra of Egypt. Her tactics, stratagems and calculated scheming trapped the most revered Julius Caesar of Rome. The determined spirit that possessed her is no different from the one that enveloped illustrious African daughters like Queen Lozikeyi of the Ndebele people, Princess Mkabayi of the Zulu Kingdom and Mbuya Nehanda of the Shona speaking tribes. This book will highlight contemporary examples of women who have defied logic and broken the gourd of stereotypes and triumphed over male chauvinism,” he said.

Malinga thanked the Destiny Teachers who spared their time and resources to contribute to the authoring of the book that transcends space and time.

“The Destiny teachers’ literary prowess and pregnant words contained in this book shall forever remain an eternal rhema to every reader who comes across this book. Their names and profile and images have been granted acres of space throughout the pages of this book. I am indebted to big brothers like Sindiso Mazibisa, Innocent Ncube and Doctor Qhubani Moyo who have been supportive of my ambitions and who worked actively to provide me with the protected opportunities and platforms to pursue those ambitions,” he said.
