The disc jockey-cum-producer’s show at the Hockey Stadium in 2009 was marred by violence, which saw him running for dear life after angry fans hurled missiles on the stage accusing him of giving them mediocre stuff.
In an interview before the show, Cleo, born Cleophas Monyepao, said “let bygones be bygones”. He said he did not want past experiences to affect him saying he had experienced worse situations before.
“I was not affected at all because we often experience such things during our shows but what I want to point out is that on this particular incident the media got it all wrong.
“I told fans that I was playing my last track and they were disappointed and they began throwing missiles on stage and I had to run away,” he said.
At the Saturday show, Cleo who was in the company of DJ Choice, was welcomed on stage by wild cheers from fans who were eagerly waiting for him.
