DJ Fantan trial postponed again

DJ Fantan’s trial has been deferred once again.

It was scheduled to get underway yesterday but was again postponed to June 21.

The Chillspot Records co-director’s lawyer was said to be attending to a personal matter.

Gamuchirai Nemukuyu is accusing DJ Fantan of malicious damage to property.

The trial failed to kick off for the third time before Mbare magistrate Rangarirai Gakanje.

In his application for postponement, Widias Chishiri, who was represented by another lawyer, said he was in grief.

“We are applying for a postponement to have the trial on June 21st on the account that Mr Chishiri, who is seized with the matter, is attending a funeral in Gokwe.

“We have liaised with the State and they have agreed to have the matter deferred,” said the lawyer.

The damaged property is approximately worth US$250.
