SOUTH Africa-based house music juggernaut Thato “DJ Fresh” Sikwane delivered a top quality performance at Bulawayo’s Horizon Pub and Restaurant on Saturday. From the moment he stepped up to the deck, he had fans eating off his deft fingers as he delivered wickedly-brilliant mixes.
Fans came in their numbers despite the chilly weather and the princely $15 charged at the door.
As soon as he got behind the deck, DJ Fresh wasted no time belting hit song after hit song, much to the delight of the exuberant crowd.

He showed off great sound mixing skills and literally set the house on fire with his irresistible talent. A section of his enthusiastic crowd jumped into the small swimming pool.

Also known as the Big Dawg, DJ Fresh has released more than 13 albums and is known all over the world for his skills on the deck.
Born in Botswana, he started out as a radio presenter in the early 90s and has grown over the years to become one of the leading DJs in South Africa.

His brilliant performance on Saturday is perhaps his answer to those who wonder why he dropped his law studies and pursued show business, when he joined South African radio station YFM.
By 2003, Fresh had risen through the YFM breakfast team and was quickly snapped up by 5FM in 2006, where his show Fresh Drive has become one of the station’s most popular shows.

Local DJs Victor Bravo, Otis the Flow, Joe the OG and Black Cee gave a good account of themselves as well.
