DJ Mjava who recently won two gongs at the Pumula Royal Arts and Community Awards and specialises in Amapiano, will spearhead a fundraising drive tomorrow.

Christmas may be over but the festivities will carry on with Mjava and his entourage, The Infinity DJs, DJ Tsola, DJ Panashe and Mlilo De Priest still pushing the idea of helping the needy.

Metty Ntombi Emfitshane will direct the event with a plethora of Amapiano acts set to dish out entertainment on the day. These include Laxer, Mandy SB & Loetra, King Tee, Ramirez, Kotalfon and Browny.

The initiative meant to carry the thanksgiving mood forward will be held at the Centenary Building Basement.
DJ Mjava spoke to Chronicle Showbiz about the event.

“It’s important as artistes to do our part in the community. This collective effort with my brothers is meant to raise funds to buy groceries for the needy so all the proceeds will be channelled towards that.

“We are inviting everyone from Bulawayo to lend a hand so that we enjoy the festive season together and put a smile on the faces of the needy” said Mjava.

It is during this time of the year when people should show love and kindness to those in need.

“Every year we do this during this month but I’m of the idea that we should care for the vulnerable groups in our midst every day,” he said.

Mjava, a part of the nascent Amapiano Capital movement has been staging several shows lately with the most recent one being the “Glow Sunday” that was held at The Hub. – @eMKlass_49.
