Harare top female club DJ Naida is set to rock her fans when she performs at the Harare International Festival of the Arts scheduled to start on April 29. The six-day multicultural art extravaganza showcases some of Zimbabwe’s untapped talents alongside international stars.
The theme for this year’s festival is simply: “Swith On”.
An elated DJ Naida posted on her Facebook page after signing a contract with Hifa organisers.
“Just signed my Hifa contracts! I’m so excited. I will be performing/DJing (playing music) on Wednesday 30 April and hold a DJing workshop on Friday 2nd (of) May,” she posted.
DJ Naida who is a banker by profession also announced her South African tour dates.
“Just confirmed Grahamstown South Africa on the 19th of April, Capetown, PE (Port Elizabeth) and Jozi (Johannesburg) dates coming soon! God is great!”
DJ Naida is one of the top female spinners. She used to feature on Star FM’s All Star Parties where she rocked the airwaves like no man’s business.
Although the official Hifa programme is yet to be released there are indications that this year’s festival will be biased towards local talents considering the growth of Zimbabwean arts industry as seen by the trending Zim Dancehall.
