DJ Zinhle not ready to date again

DJ Zinhle says she’s not ready to date anyone following her break up with AKA.

The DJ, real name Ntombezinhle Jiyane, yesterday spoke out for the first time regarding the public break-up with one of South Africa’s finest rappers.

Speaking to Gareth Cliff on CliffCentral, DJ Zinhle said she was “not ready mentally” to jump into another relationship.

“I guess I’ll see what the universe has to throw at me and I hope it throws good things,” she told Cliff.

“I’m just not mentally ready. I haven’t defined the kind of person I want next. Until then, I can’t say I’m ready to see someone else,” Zinhle said.

The two artistes, who recently welcomed their one-month old daughter Kairo, had a very public break-up last week. The couple, in a joint statement, said their split was amicable and that they would remain friends.

Zinhle said their arrangement was going on well as they are still best of friends.

“He’s a very good friend of mine. He’s my best friend. I’m very proud of him for even trying to learn about my tradition and what’s important to my family. The family loves him, he’s family, we’re all family. Kairo has made us all a family.”

According to Sunday Sun, the two broke up after DJ Zinhle found out about AKA’s cheating ways through SMS’s exchanged between her man and socialite, Bonang Matheba. The two are said to have started seeing each other behind Zinhle’s back.

They supposedly hooked up at the BET awards in Los Angeles and at the Durban July as well as at the Loerie Awards in Durban a few weeks ago. A source told Sunday Sun that Zinhle had been waiting for her baby to be born so she could sort out her life. They had already been leading separate lives while she was pregnant. – TimesLive/DailySun.
