Dog-eat-dog in Mbada final

Dynamos were crowned domestic league champions last weekend while Motor Action have the BancABC Sup8r Knockout silverware in their trophy cabinet.
Both clubs will be hoping to lift the cup of the country’s richest soccer tournament and get a chance to represent Zimbabwe  in next year’s Confederations Cup.
The winners will take home a cash prize of $75 000 and receive  an additional $25 000 for uniforms. Mbada Diamonds will provide another $150 000 to cater for costs associated  with participating in the continental competition.

Losing finalists are guaranteed  $50 000.
Motor Action gaffer Joey Antipas said it will be a tough game as it is the last match of the season.
“A cup game, especially a final, is always difficult. The good news however is that my boys do       not fear facing Dynamos and we are ready for them come Sunday.

“Our preparations are going on well and being the last match of the season, we want to give fans some beautiful goodbye to the 2011 season. All what we want is to win that trophy,” Antipas said.
Africa’s biggest pay-per-view television channel, Supersport, will broadcast the game live.
The two clubs’ Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter was screened on the same station a fortnight ago and Dynamos won the match 2-0.

Antipas said they have since addressed their shortcomings in the last match and they looked forward to winning.
“Approach to a league match and a cup game is always different. In our last league encounter, we gave Dynamos too much space, which is what we have worked on. This time around it will be a different ball game altogether and they must be prepared for a tough game. We will not be beaten twice within a month,” said Antipas.

The Mighty Bulls have the likes of veteran goalkeeper  Marlon Jani, Tawanda Nyamandwe, Themba Ndlovu,  Ocean Mushure, Kuda Musharu and Allan Gahadzikwa to lead them in their quest for glory.
Dynamos’ assistant coach, Tonderai Ndiraya said they were more than determined to have another cup in their cabinet.

He said they will be all out to win the trophy which he said          would be adding icing on the cake after winning the league championship.
“We have won the league and it is going to be nice to take the cup as well. We worked hard for the league trophy and now we want to cap it all by winning the Mbada Diamonds Cup,” Ndiraya said.

Dynamos’ technical department will be hoping that their  top goal scorer Roderick Mutuma, veteran Murape Murape and David Kutyauripo recover in time for the weekend crunch tie.

The trio picked up injuries during the match against Kiglon last Sunday.
“We have three guys — Murape, Mutuma and Kutyauripo — who did not train because of injuries. They picked up knocks in our last game and we hope they will recover before Sunday.

“Everyone else is in high spirits and they are all raring to go. I think winning the league title is a psychological boost for the team but we will not underrate Motor Action,” said Ndiraya.
The Harare giants will bank on goalkeeper Washington Arubi, Guthrie Zhokinyi,  Martin Vengesayi and George Magariro among others.

Dynamos and Motor Action will be meeting for the third time this season.
In the first leg of the Castle Lager Premiership, Motor Action beat DeMbare 2-0 before losing the second leg two weeks ago by an identical scoreline.
