MUTARE-based gospel musician Dorcas Moyo continues to shine as she has received her fourth nomination in the National Arts Merit Awards (Nama) set for February 28 in Harare.

The artiste is nominated in the Outstanding Music Video category for the visuals of Nguva NdeyaMwari, which were directed by Hastings Chiromo, aka Mr Hasty. Visuals also nominated are Kuno by Jah Prayzah, which was directed by Vusa Hlatshwayo aka Director Blaqs and Davis Hanzu aka Director Dave, and Fake Love by Winky D, which was directed by Tawanda Sibotshiwe aka Jusa Dementor.

Moyo said she was elated with such recognition after scooping the Outstanding Female Artiste gong in 2023.

“By virtue of Nama’s pedigree, one cannot help feeling grateful. Even if I’m to be nominated a dozen more times, the feeling continues to thrill every day, and I’m truly humbled to be recognised as one of the artists doing something worth recognising.

“We believe in hard work, prayer and commitment. This is a cocktail that sees us going, and I believe these can still take us far. We never take anything for granted when it comes to our craft. Giving it our best in every instance seems to do the magic for us,” said Moyo.
