Double boost for Brazilians

Pretoria — Mamelodi Sundowns have welcomed the return of speedy winger Lebohang Mokoena and Zimbabwean international midfielder Esrom Nyandoro from injuries. Mokoena (26) spent the most part of last season on the sidelines due to a hip injury suffered in September last year. According to the Soccer Laduma website: “Cheese Boy”, as Mokoena is affectionately known, has completed his rehabilitation and is working his way back to full fitness, having undergone an operation earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Nyandoro (33), was also scheduled to resume full training yesterday after recovering from a knee injury. This will be a major boost for coach Pitso Mosimane and his charges, who enjoyed a tremendous start to the new PSL season by hammering Bloemfontein Celtic 3-1 at Vodacom Park stadium on Sunday.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has addressed formal demands in terms of the PSL Rules to Free State Stars coach, Steve Komphela and Bloemfontein Celtic coach, Clinton Larsen regarding comments made by both coaches this past weekend which comments the League   view   as   bringing   it,   the game and sponsors into disrepute.

Komphela has been given five days to respond to the demand from the League following his comments at the post-match media interviews after Free State Star’s fixture against SuperSport United in Pretoria this past week, 03 August 2013.

Mr Larsen has also been given five days to respond to the demand from the League following his comments to match officials and later at the post-match media events after their Absa Premiership fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday, 04 August 2013. — supersport.com
