Douglas Vambe burial on Saturday

RENOWNED Jerusarema-Mbende traditional drummer Sekuru Douglas Vambe, who passed away yesterday morning, will be buried at his rural home in Uzumba on Sunday.

He was 77.

Family spokesperson Ms Marvellous Vambe confirmed burial arrangements for Sekuru Vambe, who was popular for drumming up the Jerusarema-Mbende beat played on ZBC television and radio news bulletins.

“My uncle will be buried on Sunday but we will depart from Marondera, where mourners are gathered, on Saturday,” she said.

Mr Vambe had a stroke a week ago and was admitted at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, where he died.
