GWERU businessman Dr Tinashe Manzungu of TM group of companies has been crowned this year’s Megafest chief executive and Industrialist of the Year for Midlands Province.
Dr Manzungu, the chief executive of Zimbuild Properties and now chairman of the newly established TM Group of companies, who runs entities with interests in construction, real estate, health insurance and micro-financing services was awarded the two prestigious recognitions during the Megafest Business awards held on Thursday.
Megafest recognises and honours the business and leadership efforts of business minds from all over Zimbabwe at both regional and national levels.
“This is a welcome development for me and it’s an honour to have my efforts recognised at the Megafest Awards. We have pro-poor business products in housing, financial services, social as well as medical and funeral services and we want those services to be easily accessible to the low income earners and civil servants,” he said.
The event drew people from various business sectors from all corners of the Midlands Province mainly from Zvishavane, Kwekwe, Gokwe and Shurugwi.
Mrs Smelly Dube chief executive officer of River Valley Properties scooped the Businesswoman of the Year award title for the second time in a row. Her husband Mr Peter Dube scooped the Businessman of the Year Award.
