Dr Zobha invades Mutare

Entertainment Correspondent
THE Power FM invasion party will be in Mutare next Friday at the Motoring Club bringing the hilarious, Dr Zobha back in the city for the first time this year.
Dr Zobha will be supported by fellow Power FM’s DJs Squilla and Smiley. Motoring Club spokesperson, Lovemore Chitima, said all was in place for the show.

“We have already sealed the deal with the DJs and it promises to be fireworks. This will be Dr Zobha’s first time in the city this year, so it is bound to be a good show,” said Chitima.

The entertaining masked personality, whom the world is still to truly know his true identity, Dr Zobha has withstood the test of time as an entertainer.

Although several names have been thrown speculatively, the real Dr Zobha is still to be uncovered.
With his catchy punch lines and theatrics on the microphone, he always leaves revellers in stitches during his shows.

As usual he will be performing next to his sidekick DJ Squilla, bringing out the best in them as a combination.
The dancehall chanter and DJ, Smiley on the other hand is also not new in the Mutare.

The chanter who has over the years built a name for himself among the best dancehall-reggae DJs in the country will as usual be out to prove his mettle.

Chitima said the show was meant to create variety and cater for Mutare revellers as a warm-up before Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi’s show the following weekend on August 29.

He said they added Nox of the Maria and Ndinonyara fame to the Tuku show to cater for the younger revellers.
“We have changed the line up a bit for Tuku’s show and added Nox to cater for the younger revellers.

“The special dedications platform from Tuku is still on for the first 20 to buy tickets so a lot of fun is expected in the next weeks to come at Motoring Club,” said Chitima.
