adminMinister Matinenga said the management committee was only “polishing” the document before availing it to the principals.
“We are meeting today (yesterday) as the management committee to polish the document. Everything has been agreed on and it is safe for me to say the principals should now expect the document anytime from now,” he said.
“We understand that Zimbabweans have waited patiently but we are now almost there because we are moving in the same direction.”
A Copac co-chairperson who declined to be named said nothing should stop them from availing the document by the end of this week.
The source said they were only proof reading the document.
“The document is ready. We have finished editing in agreement and we are only proof reading it together to see if there are no mistakes. Nothing should stop us from delivering it by weekend,” the source said.
“We have agreed on the way to go on the contentious issues, which include devolution and dual citizenship. It seems both parties have been satisfied with the way to go. I cannot divulge information contained in the document until it is made public.”
Copac sources last week said it was agreed that complete devolution was not possible in a small country such as Zimbabwe.
