Drags captivate at Donnybrooke

Sports Reporter
THE second event of the 2015 Telecel Drag Racing Series took place on Sunday in spectacular fashion as was to be expected with around 3 500 spectators and over 60 competitors registered on the day at Donnybrook Raceway in Harare. The racing was hard and fast throughout the day and several new personal records were set by competitors.

Although the day started on a very chilly note, the sun broke through and made for a pleasant atmosphere until late in the afternoon when temperatures started dropping again, much to the delight of the drivers who know the cooler conditions ensured better performance for their vehicles during the eliminations event. Sables Dragpro had for the first time set up their new LED display boards that show the Elapsed Time and Speed for each lane, bringing an international feel to the event.
