There was drama at Simon Vengesai Muzenda rank (formerly Fourth Street rank) when kombis swerved and skidded dangerously inside the rank while mourning their colleague.
A tout popularly known as Macheso, Baba Shero, died in the early hours of yesterday from an undisclosed ailment.
Prior to his death, Macheso plied his trade at the rank.
As a way of mourning their colleague, several kombis drove around, swerving and skidding inside the rank, as commuters watched in disbelief.
However, their actions were condemned by commuters, who said it was a risk and they could have easily caused a huge tragedy.
“Kufarisa uku, ko vakatsika vanhu. Is this how you mourn a colleague,” asked an unidentified woman.
Several touts were chanting Macheso inside their skidding kombis.
“Haa nhasi anomuka chete,” said another tout.
