A SELF-STYLED “dreamer” from Bulawayo allegedly stole church offerings amounting to $100 from her employer a few days after she claimed to have dreamt that her boss would lose the money.

Happiness Moyo, 22, who was employed as a domestic worker in Queens Park reportedly dreamt of her employer, Dorcas Nkomo’s colleagues stealing from her and she told her.

Moyo appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Muchemwa facing a theft charge and pleaded not guilty saying she could foretell events because she had a gift of dreaming about things before they happened.

She was remanded out of custody to December 23.

The State led by Kudakwashe Jaravaza alleges that on October 11 at around 4.30PM, Nkomo put cash amounting to $118 in a brown envelope and sealed it with two staple pins.

She then took the envelope, put it in a bag and then put the bag in her handbag which she left in her bedroom.

On the following day, which was a Sunday, Nkomo did not touch the bag and the next morning at around 6AM, Moyo approached her saying she had a dream.

Moyo told her boss that her money was going to be stolen by one of her workmates as seen in her dream.

At around 2PM, Nkomo discovered that she was missing $100 from the $118 she had put and sealed in an envelope while queueing at a bank where she intended to deposit the money.

Nkomo made a police report and said her first suspect was Moyo.
