Drunkards FC shame some PSL clubs, honour player of the season

YOU know they are now a serious lot on the social football scene when they even honour their Player of the Season.

This was the case with Drunkards FC when they honoured Tawanda Mambambo recently.

It’s something which even several PSL clubs failed to do last season.

It’s ironic that a team formed by a group of drunkards even came up with this initiative.

The award was sponsored by Pro-Crystal Sports Gear.

The Drunkards seem to be doing well in luring the corporate world to support their project.

Last season they got a kit sponsorship from Hotplate.

Drunkards FC are not affiliated to any social league and pick their opponents randomly.

The team’s spokesperson, Lionel Dangirwa, said they were determined to turn their project into one that benefits charities.
