Dry bones, you shall live again

people from different bondages and afflictions of life.
There are many situations when the devil and powers of darkness lead children of God astray and cause abortion on their destinies resulting in unfulfilled dreams.
In one of his typical inspiring and life-changing sermon entitled Dry Bones, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa proclaimed that nothing is impossible when God’s Spirit and power is at work.
Like Ezekiel, one can speak God’s word in lifeless situations and effect change. No matter how deep the damage is wrought through the hands of the enemy on a person’s life, God in His infinite power and grace is able to reverse the gains of the enemy.
When the spirit of God comes upon a dead object or body, life is restored. In United Family International Church (UFIC), testimony after testimony has proved that no matter how hopeless some situations are, no science or educated people have resurrected dry bone situations, nothing but the Spirit and power of God upon His servant Prophet Makandiwa.
Many have come to believe dead situations as the will of God yet it is totally opposite of how God wants His children to live an abundant life.
For example, what have become normal are dead marriages, dead relationships, poor health, and bad enterprises. Contrary to the word of God in John 10 verse 10b, Jesus came to give abundant life. In my Christian life, I have observed with consternation that in places or communities where Jesus Christ is not given liberty to reign, there is decay and hopelessness abound.
In the book of Ezekiel Chapter 37, God asked Prophet Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones. God never asked Ezekiel to pray, preach, fast and even sing for the bones to come back to life, though all this is good, but was commanded to prophesy!
Why prophesy? Prophet Makandiwa provides an answer to me and other inquisitive children of God why prophesying is important to hopeless situations. Prophecy is a tool that God uses to redeem, deliver, sustain, and preserve and to resurrect dead situations back to life! If God is given an opportunity to work in a deathlike situation, His name is always glorified when he changes the situation for the better, and that can only happen by prophecy.
In my ministry experiences in UFIC, I have observed that God works well in those so-called impossible environments. Just as God used Ezekiel to change the Israelis dry bones, He can still use Man of God like Prophet Makandiwa and others to change hopeless situations.
The death of Lazarus demonstrated that a hopeless situation is a flea’s bite when Jesus Christ of Nazareth the great Prophet of all generations was around. Jesus commanded a dead situation and restored life. Allow me to mention a few examples where God used His servants to restore life. Prophet Elisha in the book of 2 Kings 4 raised the dead Shunammite woman’s son back to life, the book of Acts 9 and Acts 20, Dorcas and Eutychus were raised back to life by Paul and Peter respectively.
It is high time Zimbabwe celebrated and embraced among other gifts, the gift of prophecy that the Lord Jesus has bequeathed His church and the world. Among such whom the Lord has bestowed this favour upon, is our own Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa of UFIC. Fellow Zimbabweans, the Lord has favoured us because dry bones shall live again in Zimbabwe.
Dry bones of physical death, dry bones of severe poverty, dry bones of impossibility, dry bones of hopelessness, dry bones of life dangers and dry bones of shattered dreams shall live again.
Dead marriages, dead dreams and hopes, dead body organs and businesses shall live again, there is hope for the future. I have realised that many people can open their mouths and speak prophecies but to find a Prophet who can speak things that comes to pass is a real blessing. May I say this again, in UFIC miracles of various persuasions abound.
In UFIC services, we see people with various health challenges being restored to life. For example, in our healing sessions God uses Prophet Makandiwa for lumps to disappear, fibroids melt, short legs grow, and HIV and AIDS and cancer patients receive healing. Even people dogged by premature death spirits are delivered instantly.
I have come to believe that in every dry bone situation, God uses a man to change that situation. If a Prophet of God is commanded by God to speak to dry bones, the dry bones have no other option or alternative but to come back to life.
Going back to the book of Ezekiel 37, when Prophet Ezekiel spoke to dry bones, power and virtue came out of his mouth and landed upon the bones and there was a performance. In a split of a second, the flesh and skin covered the skeletons, and then God commanded the Prophet again to prophesy, breath came upon the slain and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceeding great army!
This once fallen physical army, congratulations to them, they met a Prophet in their death and they rose back to life. The book of 2 Kings records the incident when Prophet Elisha in his sepulchre resurrected a dead man back to life. This resurrection spectacle of a Moabite puzzles many enquiring minds of how it happened, but it exhibits God’s buried treasures in a Prophet’s body.
Another puzzling incident, Saul after falling out of God’s favour and losing the kingship of Israel (1 Samuel 28), he even went on to inquire from a dead Prophet Samuel. Saul failed to take advantage of opportunities around him.
He failed to benefit from the anointing of Samuel while he was alive, only to realise when he was dead. I like some of you thought that Prophets belong to the Old Testament but to my surprise in the New Testament our Lord Jesus Christ came to resurrect, strengthen and re-instate the office of a Prophet after one Prophet John was killed in His days.
The New Testament believer should believe more in the prophetic as he believes in Jesus Christ. In Ephesians 4:11, Christ established the prophetic office among other gift offices.
I believe in my heart that Zimbabwean Christians still need to embrace the grace given to them by God as a sign of His love. The prophetic season and grace is upon this nation, let us take advantage of this tool God is giving us to live by. In UFIC among other ministries, we are ever thanking the Lord for this prophetic gift, which is upon our Father in the Lord Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa.
We have witnessed to the glory of God, dry bones coming back to life. We are proud to have a Spiritual father whose gifts are from the Lord. Hence, Spiritual Fathers are gifts from God.
May I remind you of the night of April 6, 2012 at the National Sports Stadium, the judgment night. Your hopeless situations shall receive answers in Jesus Christ’s name. Prophet Makandiwa is saying, your dry bones shall live again. Your life that is desperately in need of repair will receive the power of resurrection.
There is hope in your heartbreak, there is hope in your suffering, there is hope in your sickness, there is hope in that which is dead in you, God gave us a Prophet, there is hope in Jesus, and there is hope for you. With God nothing is impossible, dry bones shall live!
