Duo steals trust property

They are  accused of steal­ing US$10 265 from car importers. Beitbridge resident magis­trate Miss Gloria Takundwa remanded the duo in custody to October 31 for trial.
Charges against the two arose during the period extending from August to October this year, when three Harare private car importers — Malchezedec Chaniwa of Marimba Park and Tichaona Mweta and Brian Chinwanda both of Glen Norah — imported three vehicles from South Africa through Beitbridge Border Post. The trio contracted Moyo and Mutote, who were posing as customs clearing agents, to facilitate the clearance of their vehicles with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority. The two allegedly forged customs imports documents indicating that they had paid import duty.
