Prosecutor Mr Tungamirai Chakurira opposed bail arguing that Chitumbura was facing a serious offence and that he was a flight risk. The State says between October 13 and 16 at Number 16 Samora Machel Avenue, Chitumbura, acting in connivance with two other men at large, threatened to kill the complainant, accusing him of trying to topple the President.
Chitumbura allegedly informed the complainant that he was on a list of persons targeted for elimination.
He allegedly further demanded US$1 000 as protection fees and to have the complainant removed from the elimination list.
