Dynamos get ‘easy’ Chibuku Super Cup first round draw as they chase fourth straight title

Holders Dynamos have been handed a relatively easy start to the defence of their Chibuku Super Cup title after they were drawn against struggling sides Triangle or TelOne.

The draw for the 2026 edition was conducted in Harare today (Tuesday), with exciting pairings that will also see former champions FC Platinum squaring up with current PSL champions Scottland.

Giants CAPS United date Simba Bhora while Highlanders and Chicken Inn clash in the Bulawayo Derby.

DeMbare, the record winners after lifting the last three editions of the knock-out tournament, are the team to beat this year.

Triangle and TelOne are among the four teams that will start from the preliminary round tomorrow.

Manica Diamonds and Agama will also feature in the preliminary round. The winner will play MWOS.

The first-round matches will take place over the weekend of August 15 to 16.

The quarter-finals have been scheduled for September 12 to 13, with the semi-finals set for October 31 to November 1.

The final of the Chibuku Super Cup will take place on November 28.

Winners will pocket US$75 000.
