THE Dynamos Supporters Harare Chapter has joined the nation in mourning following the tragic deaths of Highlanders chairman Colonel (Rtd) Kenneth Mhlophe, vice-chairman Fiso Siziba and treasurer Nkani Khoza, who lost their lives in a road traffic accident on Thursday night.
In a condolence message to the Highlanders executive, board, players and supporters, the Dynamos supporters said football rivalries fade in times of tragedy, describing the deaths as a huge loss to Zimbabwean football.
The Harare Chapter executive and members also extended condolences to the family of the female passenger who died in the same accident.
“Football boundaries disappear in times of such unimaginable grief. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the entire Bosso family as we mourn the tragic passing of your dedicated leadership pillars,” read part of the statement.
The supporters described Mhlophe, Siziba and Khoza as committed football administrators whose passion, integrity and selfless service left an indelible mark on Highlanders and the local game.
“Their sudden departure leaves a massive, irreplaceable void not only within Highlanders but across the entire landscape of Zimbabwean football,” the statement said.
The Dynamos supporters said their thoughts and prayers were with the bereaved families, friends and the entire Bosso community during the difficult period.
“We pray that you find comfort, strength and fortitude as you navigate this profound loss. May their dear souls rest in eternal peace,” the statement concluded.
The deaths of the three Highlanders executives have triggered an outpouring of condolences from across Zimbabwe’s football fraternity, with clubs, supporters, administrators and stakeholders paying tribute to their contribution to the game.
