Dzimbahwe Nengoma, Mutimurefu School of Arts through to Chibuku Neshamwari national finals

TRADITIONAL dance outfits Dzimbahwe Nengoma from Mashonaland Central province and Mutimurefu School of Arts (MUSA) from Masvingo Province have booked their place at the Chibuku Neshamwari national finals.

Last Saturday, the two groups outshone competition from other dance groups from their respective provinces.

In Mashonaland Central province Dzimbahwe Nengoma took the first spot through the Chinyambera dance. Chinyakare took second place with their Dinhe dance while HideOut were on position three with the Zambia Nyau dance.

Zimbabwe Prison and Correctional Services (ZPCS) outfit MUSA which is under the institution’s rehabilitation and reintergration programme took position one with the Bira revadzimu dance. On position two was Africa Musical Arts Village with the Mbakumba dance while Dzimbadzamabwe Traditional dance group shined to position three with the Jukwa dance.

Dzimbahwe Nengoma and MUSA join Ezimnyama Dance Ensemble from Bulawayo province who booked their place during the first edition of the Chibuku Neshamwari provincial finals.
