WARRIORS striker Terrence Dzvukamanja scored just FIVE goals but still finished as the top-scoring Zimbabwean in the 2023/4 DStv Premiership season in South Africa.
He had a largely disappointing spell at former champions SuperSport United.
Dzvukamanja, who played in 25 of the season’s 30 matches, scored just five goals and was joint 16th on the final topscorers’ chart on Saturday, when the season came to a close.
SuperSport United finished seventh in the 16-team league with 44 points, 29 behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns who made 73 points from 30 matches.
Tshegofatso Mabasa of Orlando Pirates won the Golden Boot award with 16 goals, one more than Iqraam Rayners of Stellenbosch.
The 30-year-old Dzvukamanja was the second highest scorer for SuperSport United behind Bradley Grobler who scored 11.
Of his five goals, two were against Kaizer Chiefs in their two meetings which SuperSport United won 2-1 away and 1-0 at home.
The other three came against Richards Bay (2-0 at home in season opener on August 5 last year), Golden Arrows (2-2 away on April 3) and Sekhukhune (2-1 away).
Another Warriors striker, Knox Mutizwa, managed just two goals in the 22 matches he featured for Golden Arrows in the just ended season.
The two goals came in the 2-1 home win over Kaizer Chiefs on October 28 last year.
