The Albino Charity Organisation of Zimbabwe (ALCOZ) has received an early Christmas gift in the form of a donation of groceries and personal care items from Premier Corporate Gifts, bringing joy to many.

The donation, handed over during a small ceremony in Chitungwiza, included cooking oil, maize meal, rice, flour, spaghetti, bathing and washing soap, sugar, cups, hats, t-shirts and sunscreen among other necessities.

Speaking at the event, Mrs Loveness Mainato, the executive director of ALCOZ, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support.

She said the donations would significantly impact the lives of those living with albinism, many of whom face daily challenges due to stigma and limited resources.

“This gesture is more than just material support; it is a sign of care and recognition for the struggles faced by the albinism community,” Mrs Mainato said.

“The groceries and personal items will go a long way in making this festive season brighter for many families. We are deeply grateful to Premier Corporate Gifts for thinking of us.”

Premier Corporate Gifts’ managing director, Mrs Betty Mpala, highlighted the company’s commitment to giving back to the community, particularly to marginalised groups.

“As a company, we believe in spreading love and hope, especially during the festive season,” she said

” We recognise the unique challenges faced by the albinism community and wanted to provide practical support to make their Christmas special. We are honored to partner with ALCOZ in this endeavor.”

Mrs Mainato called on other organisations and individuals to follow Premier Corporate Gifts’ example and support initiatives that uplift vulnerable communities.

“This donation is a testament to the power of partnership and the positive change that comes when organisations prioritise social responsibility. Together, we can build a more inclusive and supportive society,” she said.

The event ended with smiles and a spirit of togetherness as the beneficiaries received their early Christmas packages, setting a tone of hope and gratitude for the festive season.
