FOR a homeless man, Kevin Oliver (54), Father Christmas has come early in the middle of winter.
The former kombi driver has been handed a bed by Bruno Furniturez.
This follows the decision by a Good Samaritan, based in the UK, who secured accommodation for him and paid rent for 12 months.
The UK-based Zimbabwean secured him accommodation in Seke.
Kevin was moved to tears when Bruno Furniturez handed him the bed.
“Ndinoda kutenda Bruno Furniturez nekundipa mubhedha uye vose vakandibatsira,” said Kevin.
“Ndakambobudiswa muma social media ndichinzi murungu arikukanga waya nekuda kwekurara mumota asi nhasi ndavenepekurojawo nepekurara pakanaka,” he said.
Kevin used to be a well-known kombi driver who plied the City-Chitungwiza route before the outbreak of Covid-19.
He refused to talk about his life story, saying that it was too emotional and feels better not narrating it.
