Pastor Prime Kufa, UFIC spokesperson
Our Easter conference started on Friday and is ending on Sunday (today). Our guest speaker throughout the conference was Prophet Victor Kusi-Boateng, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa’s spiritual father.
“We have witnessed a huge crowd as people were coming from all over after being unable to freely travel for the past years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The excitement is buzzing all over. The Chitungwiza church, which was built by Prophet Makandiwa and our mother Ruth-Emmanuel Makandiwa with their personal funds, was also officially opened during this conference as well.

As the church, we celebrate with much introspection.
The importance of this holiday cannot be overemphasised.
It is what makes us Christians.
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of Christianity. My message to the people of Zimbabwe is, no matter what you are going through right now, you are meant to be a high-flyer.
Just trust in Jesus.

Easter season is an important period in the Christian faith.
It is the beginning of victory because God showed his love by sacrificing his only son to die for us, sinners, so that we can be forgiven.
God is now reconciling with his people and restoring his love.
As Christians, we have to understand this and repent. Jesus died for us and where we were supposed to suffer, He suffered for us.
Our people are very excited to unite again and celebrate Easter as a congregation.
Under the church, we have districts where circuits will combine and celebrate.
In the district where I am, there are over 1 500 people who have gathered. Covid-19 was very difficult, especially for us Christians.
Most people lost their faith but now we are regaining our momentum and we have gathered to thank God for surviving.

Bishop Dr Rocky Moyo, Council of Churches in Africa president
The three days of Easter are important in the church because they remind us of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Corinthians 11:23 clearly states that “we should do this in remembrance of me” and that is what we are exactly doing in remembering our saviour.
“We are reminding people to remember Christ and we are also restoring souls and lives we have lost during Covid-19.”

Bishop Dr Albert Chikuni, leader of Family Life Ministries International
Easter is a moment of reflecting and strengthening our faith as we focus on benefits we derive from the hidden dimension of scriptures about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The word “resurrection'” means passing from death to life.
Two key words are life and death. One concept is the physiological functioning of the physical body. The other is with the people who would gather for the burial of the disciple’s father.
