ED mourns Chamisa’s mother

PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has paid his condolences to the Chamisa family following the death of the mother of Nelson Chamisa on Monday afternoon.

Writing on his Twitter page, President Mnangagwa said he was with the family as they mourned.

“I was sad to hear of the passing of Ambuya Chamisa, the mother of Nelson Chamisa. Our thoughts and prayers are with Advocate Nelson Chamisa and the Chamisa family at this difficult time,” he tweeted.

Ambuya Chamisa died on Monday afternoon at her home in Chiwara village, Gutu district in Masvingo Province.

Also writing on his Twitter page Chamisa said his mother taught him discipline.

“She toiled to educate me just like all mothers do for families. She taught me industry, respect, discipline, integrity and hard work. A hardworking multi-talented woman. A prayer warrior and pillar in the faith. Collapsed in her garden and went to be with the Lord. Rest in peace mai Nerison,” he tweeted.

MDC-T leader Dr Thokozani Khuphe also sent a message of condolence to the Chamisa family.
