THE gruesome murder of a Mhondoro businessman, who was accused of bedding a gold panner’s wife, has been trending.
It comes at a time when crimes of passion are on the rise.
It’s very clear that the Mhondoro murder case was premeditated.
While the gold panner could not stomach sharing his wife with another man, killing the cheating businessman was not the solution.
After establishing his wife’s shenanigans, the now fugitive murderer was supposed to use that evidence to sue the businessman.
Or, he could have left his wife after finding the evidence that she was a cheat.
It had become clear that the wife was someone who could not be trusted in the sacred institution of marriage.
The wife had turned rogue.
Married people, who are no longer interested in their unions, should quit peacefully to avoid drama and the unfortunate events like what happened in Mhondoro.
Infidelity and lust have over the years fuelled such cases and we have all seen the consequences.
People should learn to have the courage to walk away from toxic affairs.
Hanging onto these affairs can be dangerous and tragic as was the case with the gold panner, who ended up killing his wife’s boyfriend.
On the other hand, the death of the businessman is a lesson for people to stay away from married lovers.
People should not use their financial muscle to seduce married women as appears to have been the case with the Mhondoro businessman.
The fact that he used to sneak inside the gold panner’s house shows that he was aware of the woman’s marital status.
He used to take advantage of the gold panner’s absence to have a fling with his wife.
The businessman, who had his legs chopped off during the fracas, was supposed to stay away from the married woman.
While the horrific death will haunt the gold panner’s family for some time, his shenanigans drove him to his tragic appointment with such a gruesome death.
He created the circumstances which eventually resulted in him dying in such a horrible way.
Because of his stupidity, his family and children have lost a bread winner.
The gold panner took the law into his hands and this is unacceptable, no matter the circumstances.
Now, he is on the police wanted list, he is set to face prosecution when he gets arrested.
Although he received a tip-off from neighbours about his wife’s shenanigans with the businessman, he was not supposed to be the one who decides to end the businessman’s life.
The courts of law are clear on married cheats who are now slapped with a legal suit.
People should desist from the culture of violence when wronged.
In every community, there are known elders who are good at addressing such cases.
We should be able to heal and move on when we find out that our partners are cheating on us.
Killing someone for love is not a solution.
