We might acquire wealth but we should always know that, without their blessings, we are nothing.
It’s an abomination when we fail to give them the respect they deserve.
They deserve respect, honour and love for being there for us.
Failure to honour them brings bad luck and other curses in life.
However, there are some kids who are giving their parents sleepless nights, owing to their wayward behaviour.
Some of the kids have the guts to call their parents names when under the influence of illicit drugs.
It’s sad how kids have lost their morals to the extent of disrespecting their parents.
The civil courts have been handling family feuds, involving parents and kids, which is really sad.
Last Friday, we carried a sad story of celebrity artist, Tryson Chimbetu, who called his mother a prostitute and witch.
Tryson is believed to be at loggerheads with his widowed mother.
The mother says she has not known peace since the death of her husband Naison Chimbetu.
She might have her weaknesses and shortcomings but she remains his mother.
Up to now, readers are still in shock over the singer’s guts to call his mother such ugly names.
They felt Tryson erred by insulting his mother.
All they are demanding is for him to make a public apology.
As an influencer and celebrity, Tryson did not only insult his mother but all the women in the world.
His behaviour was uncalled for, to say the least.
Failure to apologise will see bad luck trailing him like a shadow, according to our elders.
Although the matter was not reported to the police, many of his fans can’t believe what he has done.
Tryson’s case is not only sickening but totally unacceptable.
His case is one of the several problems some parents are subjected to at the hands of their children.
Most parents are now regretting ever giving birth to their children, who have become a menace in their lives.
As children, it’s high time we respect and honour our parents and stop abusing them.
Our deeds will always come back to haunt us if we don’t do the right things.
As a nation, it’s high time we value, respect and honour our parents and elders.
