YESTERDAY, we reported a bizarre story of a man who has been battling to deal with his three marriages, including one with a woman who is based in Canada, whom he fooled to believe that he was single at the time of their marriage.
We even dubbed Mudavanhu Sanyika as a Romeo.
Sanyika paid lobola for Magdalene Sharara two years ago.
What Magdalene did not know was that Sanyika was already married to Divine Furusa.
They were married at the Harare Magistrates’ Court on March 16, 2018.
The wedding was solemnised at the Church of Christ in Avondale.
On September 9, 2022, Sanyika wedded Magdalene.
He gave the impression that he was a bachelor.
Divine later knew about the second marriage and sued Sanyika for bigamy.
The case was heard at the High Court in Harare and, according to the records in our possession, Sanyika was summoned on June 12, last year, to face bigamy charges.
Sanyika decided to divorce Divine and started to live with Magdalene.
Magdalene stays in Canada and they were in the process of finalising Sanyika’s papers so that he would follow her there.
However, Sanyika decided to fall in love with another woman, identified as Melinda, and they have a child together. It’s a story which shows amazing levels of lies, trying to deceive women and using them for one reason of another.
All these women were fooled to believe that they were the ones that Sanyika loved but little did they know that he was selling them a cocktail of lies and all his promises were fake.
We feel for all these women because they were all fooled.
We don’t know what was motivating Sanyika because we believe that if he really loved all his women he should have just married all of them and let them know that they were in a polygamous relationship.
This means that the women who did not want to be part of this polygamous relationship would have chosen to leave the union.
There wouldn’t have been any need for him to live his life of lies.
But Sanyika chose to be a trickster and gambled on his tricks to fool his women forever.
We now know that this didn’t work out and Sanyika has been exposed for his dishonesty and it’s very clear that his relationships are now in tatters.
His reputation has taken a huge battering. Maybe, he is a man who doesn’t place a value on his reputation.
After all, he is a trickster and all that we can do is feel for the women he kept deceiving into believing that they had found a proper husband, who cared for them, when he was just taking them for a ride.
Magdelene told us that she is a victim and we agree with that because she went to great lengths to try and ensure that they would build a proper marriage.
She even wanted to take him to Canada, where she stays, because she believed in him.
