After all, many other people who cannot afford to look after their babies have taken the same route.
By selling her baby, it shows that she is cruel and is not fit to be a mother.
No sane mother would want to sell her baby.
The presiding magistrate was right to slam her for her wicked act.

These traders hunted down African men and women as if they were animals who could be sold to the highest bidder.

Therefore, we find it incredible that, in this age and era, a 23-year-old mother would go to the extent of selling her two-day-old baby.
This heartless mother should rot in jail, along with the buyer, for their shameless transaction.
The buyer should be further investigated if she is not a habitual offender of human trafficking.
She might have committed a similar offence judging by he guts she had to try and process the baby’s documents.

The only relief our readers have is that the mother will now pay for her sins and the system worked well.
While a mandatory 10-year might not be enough for the woman, it’s fine that she has to suffer some form of punishment for her sins.
