A Shurugwi man, Champion Toreva (57) renounced his membership from Dziva Ramwari Church because a senior church elder allegedly impregnated his daughter and denied responsibility.
Toreva argues that the church leadership board failed to handle the issue in a decent manner because it concluded that his daughter Netsai (21) seduced elder Samuel Choto and they also accused her of having loose morals, therefore, concluding that Choto was not responsible for the pregnancy.
Toreva poured his heart out to B-Metro.
a�?When I discovered that my daughter was pregnant I threatened to chuck her out of our homestead. In fear of being chucked out she revealed that she was impregnated by Choto and she showed me WhatsApp love messages detailing their love affair. As a concerned parent I took the WhatsApp messages to the executive committee but they turned a blind eye on the matter and that incensed me. I was left with no option but to renounce my membership,a�? he said.
However, Choto denied impregnating Netsai but confirmed having dated her.
