Elderly man goes missing in Bulawayo.

A 65-YEAR-Old man from Bulawayo has gone missing.

Mr Vimbai Mudarikwa who has dementia causing memory loss, was last seen on 4 July near Fife Street and 5th Avenue in the city.

According to a circulating ‘Missing Person’ notice on social platforms, Mr Mudarikwa might have become disoriented.

“Vimbai Mudarikwa 68kgs; 1.7 meters tall; 65 years old with dementia was last seen on 4 July 2024 on Fife Street and 5th Avenue, Bulawayo. He was wearing a brown jacket and khaki trousers. He is diabetic and might be disoriented. Please accompany him and report to the nearest police station,” reads the notice.

Deputy Bulawayo police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele appealed to the public for assistance in providing information regarding the whereabouts of Mr Mudarikwa.

“Mr Mudarikwa has not yet been found since he went missing. Anyone who comes across a person matching his description, please kindly report to the nearest police station to assist the family in locating him. All efforts will be greatly appreciated,” said Assistant Inspector Msebele.
