UNITED Kingdom-based Zimbabwean gospel singer, Eleana Makombe, has dedicated her upcoming album launch to celebrating women.

She is turning the event into a powerful tribute to faith, resilience and gratitude.

The launch of her new album, “She Is Grateful,” will take place on Saturday at Zimbali Gardens.

It coincides with global celebrations of the week in which the world marked International Women’s Day.

But for Eleana, the event will be more than just music.

Instead, the gospel songstress has designed the occasion to create a platform where she can openly share her life stories — struggles, victories and testimonies — before the musical performances begin.

“It is about myself, my brand and also celebrating women and giving them a voice.

“Before the music starts, we will have an experience journey.”

The album carries a deeply personal message for the singer, who says the project reflects her own testimony of faith and gratitude.

“The theme of the album is simple – gratitude,” she said.

“She is Grateful is my testimony. It tells the story of how God has taken me from one level to another. “When I look back at my journey, I can only say thank you to God.

“Women go through so much but they also carry so much strength.

“I wanted this event to be a celebration of women who have remained strong in their faith despite the challenges they face.”

She added:

“I want people to hear real testimonies from real women,” she said.

“Sometimes, someone’s story can change another person’s life.

“That is the atmosphere we want to create before the music begins.”

The “Baba Mune Nyasha” hitmaker has steadily grown into one of the most influential voices on Zimbabwe’s gospel music scene.

Eleana’s songs have resonated with audiences, both locally and internationally, with many listeners drawn to her powerful vocals and message-driven lyrics.

Her ministry has also seen her performing and ministering at church gatherings, conferences and gospel concerts in different countries.

“Music is my ministry,” Eleana said.

“Every song I sing is meant to encourage someone who might be going through a difficult time.

“When people listen to my music, I want them to feel hope.

“I want them to remember that God is still in control, no matter what they are facing.”

Gratitude, she added, remains the central message she hopes listeners will take away from her new album.

“In life we often focus on what we don’t have,” she said.

“But when we begin to count our blessings, we realise that God has already done so much for us. “That is why this album is called ‘She is Grateful’.

“Coming back home to launch this album means a lot to me.

“Zimbabwe is where my journey started and the support I receive here is always overwhelming.”

She added:

“This is going to be a special moment, it will be a day of testimonies, encouragement and worship.

“By the time the music starts, people will already be uplifted by the stories they would have heard.”
