ENVIRONMENTAL Management Agency director general Mr Aaron Chigona has been arrested on abuse of office charges by the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (Zacc).
In confirming the arrest the anti graft body said Mr Chigona was found to have fraudulently issued an Environmental Impact Assessment certificate to Borrowdale Investments Private Limited.
“ZACC has arrested the Director General of the Environmental Management Agency, Mr Aaron Chigona on charges of criminal abuse of office. He is accused of fraudulently issuing an EIA certificate to Borrowdale Investments Private Limited,” wrote Zacc on their official X account.
