The Zimbabwe Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme Alumni Association under the patronage of the Embassy of Malaysia in Zimbabwe last week donated US$1 200 to the Hatcliffe Extension Primary Health Care Clinic being built by the Islamic Medical Association.
Speaking during a handover ceremony last week, the Malaysian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Amarjit Sarjit Singh said they will continue to support to the association in its efforts to change the lives of people in the community.
“I am pleased to further inform you that the association, under the patronage of the Embassy of Malaysia in Zimbabwe, has been following your construction of Hatcliffe Extension Primary Health Care Clinic and is keen to make a monetary donation of US$1 200 towards the implementation of this noble project.
While this is a relatively small amount, the association hopes it can ease the cost in constructing and equipping the clinic and will make a difference in the lives of many people that it will cater for,” he said.
The association’s chairman, Mr Conwell Tumbare, said they were pleased with the work being done by the Islamic Medical Association to improve the well being of Zimbabwean communities and pledged more donations.
“As MTCP we appreciate the work that is being done here to improve the livelihoods of Hatcliffe residents.”
