POPULAR club emcee, Big Dollar Bruce, has revealed that although he enjoys entertaining crowds with the microphone at clubs and parties, his heart lies with humanitarian duties.
The talented chanter said he has a passion for helping people.
The heavily-built emcee is running a project in Warren Park.
He is running the project in four schools in Warren Park where he works with 30 students at each school.
He is also doing the project with 150 families from the same neighbourhood.
The permaculture groups focus mainly on growing vegetables and fruits for subsistence and resale.
“I started this project three years ago, thanks to the Dr Rath Foundation.
“Our mission is to improve the health and lives of people, that’s why we grow a lot of vegetables and fruits because it’s healthy food.
“We encourage people to create hands-on pilot projects in areas of health, food, water, knowledge and work.
“I am a Warren Park resident so I decided to start there because charity begins at home.
“I am currently working with four schools and 150 families and hoping it grows bigger in years to come.
“My dream is to make it bigger and work with more schools so that disadvantaged children and families benefit from it.
“The project is not only for the less privileged but for the willing.
“They get to eat healthy and make money out of selling what they produce.”
