AN 18-year-old Bulawayo man has appeared in court for allegedly hitting a complainant once on the head with a half brick following a misunderstanding.
Delight Mureri of Emganwini appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Mr Jeconia Prince Ncube facing a charge of attempted murder.

He was remanded in custody to May 27.
Prosecutor, Ms Christina Manyika told the court that the accused person and complainant are not related.
She said that on May 16, 2026, at around 3 PM, behind Topia Shops at Mbundane Terminus in Bulawayo, a misunderstanding arose between the accused person and Welcome Dube (54).

The court heard that the misunderstanding led the accused person to hit Dube once on the head with a half brick.
The complainant sustained injuries and was rushed for medical attention, she said.

A police report was made, leading to the arrest of the accused person, she added.
