THE Forum for African Women Educationalists Zimbabwe (FAWEZI) is set to launch its 2024–2028 Strategic Plan alongside the FAWE/Mastercard Foundation Phase II Programme at a high-level event in Harare tomorrow.

The seven-year programme, titled “Second Chance Pathways for Increased Access to Tertiary Education for Marginalised Young Women and Men,” aims to reach 10 555 disadvantaged youths across 10 African countries, including Zimbabwe.

Through flexible academic pathways like HEAC (Higher Education Access Certificate) and HEAP (Higher Education Access Programme), 80 percent of the beneficiaries will be young women, with a strong focus on inclusion for persons with disabilities and those affected by conflict, climate change, or displacement.

FAWEZI’s new strategy focuses on closing gender gaps, expanding access to STEM, scaling TVET opportunities, and strengthening institutional partnerships.
