Tafadzwa Ndlovu recently in GOKWE
THE girl child must emulate First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe who, despite her social position, still went on to read for a Doctor of Philosophy degree which she graduated with at the University of Zimbabwe last Friday.
Speaking during the belated victory celebrations for last year’s harmonised elections recently, Gokwe-Nembudziya National Assembly member Cde Justice Wadyajena, described Dr Mugabe as a role model.
“We encourage the girl child to be like our only mother, Amai Mugabe, our First lady, who is one of a kind because she has attained higher education and now we call her Dr (Grace) Mugabe,” he said.
“We are saying Dr Mugabe, the sky is the limit . . .,” Cde Wadyajena said to applause from supporters.
Zanu-PF Women and Youth Leagues have since thrown their weight behind the appointment of the First Lady Amai Grace Mugabe to lead the Women’s League.
Speaking at the same occasion, Politburo Member Cde Edison Chakanyuka, said they would deal with people who were causing divisions and factionalism.
“We cannot continue to have people who want to destroy the party from within. We cannot still have people who support Cde Flora Buka (Minister of State in the Office of the President and Cabinet and former legislator for the area). Support Cde Wadyajena because he is now your new leader,” he said.
